About Ateshgah:
Also known across the world as the “Fire Temple of Baku”, Ateshgah is an authentic Azerbaijani heritage site that hosts a unique natural phenomenon – the eternal flame. The temple in its current state was created during the 17th-18th centuries and designed by the Baku-based Hindu community. However, the history of the Temple is even longer as was once the holy place of the Zoroastrians, or fire worshippers, who attached a mysterious significance to the unquenchable fire and went there to worship at their shrine.
