GP Global MAG Lubricant has donated 100 Thousand Meals to the “100 Million Meals” initiative

Mahmoud Al Theraawi, Founder and CEO of GP Global MAG Lubricant has donated 100 thousand meals to the “100 Million Meals” initiative that aims to provide 100 million meals for disadvantaged individuals and families in 20 countries during the holy month of Ramadan.

Organized by the UAE-based Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the campaign reflects the UAE’s humanitarian principles to aid the vulnerable across the world, regardless of race, religion or nationality, especially after the outbreak of COVID-19 exacerbated food insecurity, poverty and unemployment among underserved populations.

Mahmoud Al Theraawi, founder and CEO of GP Global MAG Lubricant said “we are honored to be part of 100 Million Meal campaign to help people in need in the holy month of Ramadan” , he added “and we would like to take this great opportunity to encourage and ask all entities and individuals to donate and be part of 100 Million Meal campaign to promote the values of giving, compassion and benevolence”.

The campaign is an expansion of 2020’s 10 Million Meals campaign, which helped people in the UAE who lost jobs and faced salary cuts during the pandemic. It also worked to feed people who would normally end their fast at free iftars at mosques and public places, which had to be cancelled because of the pandemic.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) will carry out the campaign in collaboration with the UN World Food Programme, the Food Banking Regional Network, humanitarian and charity organisations in beneficiary countries, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment (MBRCH), and UAE federal and local entities.

Donations to the ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign can be made through many ways: website, SMS, bank transfer and call centre.

Entities and individuals can donate as little as AED10 to provide 10 meals, rising to AED500, through the campaign’s website www.100millionmeals.ae. A bank transfer also enables people inside and outside the UAE to donate through Dubai Islamic Bank (AE080240001520977815201).

Companies and people residing in the UAE can donate by sending “Meal” on SMS to the specified numbers listed on the website, while big monetary donations can be made by reaching out to the campaign call centre on the toll-free number 8004999.
