Abu Dhabi: Lulu Group, the leading retail giant, was honored with the prestigious Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award for its significant contributions to the agricultural sector and sustainability efforts in the UAE. The award was presented to Ashraf Ali M.A., Executive Director of Lulu Group, by Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, at a grand ceremony held at the Emirates Palace. The recognition came in light of Lulu’s vital role in the success of the Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award (SMAEA) and its support for related festivals at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathbah.
The Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award is one of the UAE’s most prestigious initiatives, designed to encourage farmers and livestock breeders to adopt modern technologies and sustainable practices. Lulu Group has consistently demonstrated a commitment to these principles by promoting innovation, supporting local farmers, and advancing sustainability in the agricultural sector. As part of this commitment, Lulu’s special display at the Sheikh Zayed Festival showcased a wide range of UAE-grown products, including fruits, vegetables, and honey.
