What Covid-19 pandemic taught me – Model, Rayan Ricci

In generations nothing has touched the world so deeply and so devastatingly as the Covid-19 pandemic. The virus has not only ravaged the world’s economy, its social fabric and every other facet of life but has also changed the way people have come to perceived life and certain values. So, like many people around the world, Dubai-based top model and Instagram sensation, Rayan Ricci Farhat has learnt a great lesson of life from the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to him, he has come to recognise the importance of family, relationships and love.

“Since Covid-19 happened, I realised how important family is. I spent the lockdown with my family in the north of France in Normandy. It was beautiful to see that we were all there, supporting one another. I stayed out of social media for a few times during this period, trying to discover a new me, working out, enjoying my family, and it permitted me also to really understand what I want to do and what I want to be. I have a marketing master background, so I realised that marketing was not what I am living for but acting,” he said in an interview.

Continuing, explained the opportunities the pandemic has afforded him, in terms of reflection and perception.

“I think that most people forget their passion in their everyday routine, due to work, money, and I think that we should all do whatever makes us shine inside. Because this is life, I don’t want to have any regrets later when I have children and realise that my life didn’t make any sense. I want to be proud and see that even if it worked or not, I gave all my passions room to breathe. I want to know I gave everything, because I am a very ambitious guy. Of course, I lost some contracts due to this pandemic but I stayed strong and I know that everything happened for a reason. So I stay focused on my projects,” he said.

Based on this eye-opening experience he has a message to all, “Also whoever you are, your sex, origin, personality, we are all the same. Seeing the world helping one another during this crisis, was the most beautiful thing I have seen.”

Rayan Ricci at different times had collaborated with top brands like L’Oreal, Four Seasons and Ron Dorff on social media (Instagram).

He had also collaborated with many groups such as LVMH, Kering, as well as many hotel groups around the world, namely; Oberoï, Sonu Shivdasani, Cheval Blanc etc.

“I am really honoured to be one of the faces of Ron Dorff, to have worked with Rolex for Daytona,

To represent all those brands that I have always loved so much such as Burberry, Prada, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana or even Jean Paul Gaulthier,” he said.

Rayan Ricci Farhat was born on July27, 1998 to a Lebanese father and a mother of Italian descent but he sees himself French Lebanese because he actually grew up in Paris.

He went to a public school in the north suburb of Paris till he was 16 then moved to a private business school in Paris where he studied Marketing and obtained a Masters degree.

He grew up between France and Lebanon, but mostly considers himself French
