New flagship VOX Cinemas features Abu Dhabi’s first IMAX® with Laser theatre

Simply amazing news, film lovers. The most immersive movie experience arrives in Abu Dhabi today as VOX Cinemas opens the capital’s first IMAX® theatre and its largest cinema on Al Maryah Island. IMAX® with Laser, THEATRE by Rhodes, and KIDS will be on offer at the new multiplex, along with VOX Cinemas’ homegrown food outlets, Nutella Bar, Pizza Al Taglio and Kitchen 35.
Opening in The Galleria on the fourth floor of the North Atrium, the new flagship VOX Cinemas will offer an impressive 21 screens and a total of 1,785 seats for all kinds of movie lovers – from families with kids to luxury lovers and experience seekers.

Created to transport audiences into today’s biggest blockbusters, IMAX® with Laser is a next-generation laser projection system to deliver stunning, crystal-clear images on the biggest screens for the world’s most immersive cinematic experience. The new experience also features IMAX’s 12-channel sound technology with new side and overhead channels that deliver greater dynamic range and precision for the ultimate in audio immersion.
In addition to its unique concepts, THEATRE by Rhodes – where fine food meets films – and KIDS – designed especially for little movie lovers, the new multiplex will also include three signature F&B outlets. At the Nutella Bar, guests with a sweet tooth can tuck into freshly made waffles, crepes and Dutch pancakes smothered with their famous hazelnut spread. Pizza purists can pick up a square slice topped with artisan quality meats and cheeses at Pizza Al Taglio, and head to Kitchen 35 for freshly brewed single origin coffee and quality grab-and-go gourmet fare.
The new flagship cinema will reinforce Majid Al Futtaim Cinemas’ status as the fastest growing and most innovative cinema exhibitor in Abu Dhabi, the UAE and the region as a whole. Today, the company operates 44 cinema complexes and 441 screens across the UAE, KSA, Lebanon, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain and Kuwait.
