Would you please introduce yourself?
Hi! I’m Nerissa Low and I’m the founder of Liht Organics.
Can you describe your feelings today while everybody here is coming and very curious about what’s going on and about the experience about after they are testing this kind and great experience?
I’m super excited to bring the beauty world’s first Beauty VR experience to the region. I think we’ve got really good traction with everyone, both media and consumers alike. This is something that has never been seen before and I’ve been really excited about it. With this experience, users are teleported into the Metaworld (that’s been beautifully created by Paxworld), pick their avatars and chose makeup looks that can be created with our products.
Our initial aim was to bring to the region, something different- something they haven’t seen before because the beauty industry is extremely crowded as it is. We thought it would be a fun idea to teleport the shoppers into a whole new world while they are still standing int the Mall of the Emirates!
What inspired you to make this kind of new idea?
The Metaverse and the tech industry is always been seen as a male dominated industry and I wanted to introduce and empower women to explore this space. I absolutely loved the idea of teleporting them to a completely different universe without physically moving out of one’s comfort zone.
How did you see people reacting about it?
They love it! For the first time, we have managed to get the attention of the male audience who have been interested to enter our BeautyVerse as well. We have received raving feedback from men and kids, and of course women. They think it’s super fun and we even had people approaching us to see enquire if they could buy the VR headsets!
They give you good advices or good notes?
Yes, they did. I mean, obviously, we wanted something a lot more sophisticated but we had to consider the essence of time- because we knew that we’ll be holding media events, we wanted to keep it as simple as possible so that each user has the opportunity to complete the whole experience within a set amount of time. My original idea was for people to create makeup looks individually however that would be too time consuming and for people who have not experienced VR before, it can make them feel a little bit dizzy, because of the long exposure to the VR headsets. Hence, we created something that would be more user-friendly as an introduction to the users.
So, what’s the next step? What’s the development you will make after this experience?
We are always here to bring something different to your plate. I do many have other ideas that I would like to explore in the near future. Right now, we are immersed into exploring the technology side of beauty, however going ahead, we are also aiming to do something in the medical field.
Are you open to share your unique idea with other companies?
Absolutely, I think we are here to make an impact to the world and to create a difference so I’m more than happy to share. At the end of the day, we are all here to bring to the planet what’s great for everybody, so the more the merrier.
My last question is, what are you expecting from media to support you?
We definitely need media support to bring brand awareness to the consumers over here. At the end of the day, Liht Organics is here to bring a safer alternative beauty. A lot of education is still required for this market, and we are here to give consumers the option of going organic with their makeup-one that has zero synthetic chemicals or fragrances. Our products are so clean that they are safe enough to eat! I have eaten my foundation many times, just to prove how safe it is. This also gives the guys a peace of mind, that your partners uses beauty products that are all completely organic, natural and safe.
