In celebration of National Environmental Day on February 4, du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunication Company (EITC), participated in the Clean UAE campaign organised by the Emirates Environmental Group under the patronage of the Ministry of Climate Change and the Ministry of Community Development. The move aligned with du’s commitment to making a vital contribution to transformation and sustainability in line with the UAE National Agenda.
du employees and their families proactively engaged in Clean UAE to protect the environment and helped reduce plastic waste pollution. The National Environmental Day marks the beginning of many significant events planned in the UAE in 2023 to improve the country’s environmental sustainability. This effort is part of the UAE’s larger commitment to reducing emissions, promoting renewable energy sources, and advancing green infrastructure. In November, the UAE will host the 28th Conference of Parties (COP 28), which will be the final major environmental event of the year.
