Information City commitment to social and human initiatives every year
The Information City, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, in collaboration with its strategic partner, MTN, successfully concluded the 2022/2023 cycle of the ‘Saada’ initiative. This initiative was launched with a focus on children’s welfare and the community at large and highlighted three key pillars. In collaboration with various government entities and charitable organizations, the Information City continues its commitment to educational, cultural, humanitarian, and community development, carving out a societal and humanitarian identity for itself.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Information City, says: “The Information City has achieved advanced and distinguished accomplishments in the human care sector, emphasizing the importance of social and humanitarian values and synergy for the progress and well-being of the nation. To date, the “Saada” 2023 initiative has achieved tremendous success and progress with the encouragement of governmental and non-governmental institutions. We continue our journey in realizing this initiative, as the Information City commits to providing more than 1,000 school bags with a set of necessary stationery supplies for students and laptops to start their academic year with joy and confidence, in addition to covering a percentage of school fees.”

The “Saada… Educate… Protect” 2023 initiative is in line with the vision of their Highnesses responsible for the progress and development of the country at all levels and sectors, as it is implemented with the Dubai Police, the General Department of Civil
Defense, and Dubai Ambulance to organize visits to schools participating in this initiative. These visits aim to enlighten students about traffic laws, health, and preventive measures, provide the necessary awareness to protect children and how to apply the best practices to avoid road accidents and also provide the essential guidance on fire safety.
The history of the Information City, since its founding, witnessed the activity, accuracy, and dedication of the work team and their determination to implement every initiative and make it successful, through which they can make communities, and children in particular, of different nationalities, happy and content. The first of these successful initiatives, which was through strategic partnerships with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, was the implementation of the “Educate a Child, Build a Nation” initiative, which has been ongoing for more than 10 years, in which more than 5,000 male and female students were trained to use the computers provided to them for free by the Information City.
To celebrate the conclusion of the “Saada…Educate…Protect” 2023 initiative, Information City organized a ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Dubai International Financial Center on 14 November 2023, attended by senior officials, businessmen, companies, sponsoring institutions, and strategic partners including: MTN, ONPASSIVE, MEINHARDT, OLA ENERGY, SOBHA GROUP, ONE ROAD, BLUE SKY, KHANSAHEB, DUBAI DUTY-FREE, MEZZAN HOLDING GROUP, DNV, ANANTARA HOTEL, GULF SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION, SFFECO, NUVO DMCC.
