Situated on the vibrant waterfront, an adults-only, adrenaline-fuelled, buzzing atmosphere awaits on Friday October 11 from late afternoon into the night with outdoors bars, music, dance and play, followed by a laid-back family-friendly atmosphere on Saturday. The Wipeout WKND is Yas Marina’s answer to residents’ post summer ‘brunch fatigue’, mixing offbeat activities with spirited entertainment.
An afternoon not to be missed, on Friday 11th October, from 4pm until 11pm, the lawn behind Iris will be transformed to a licensed, nightlife-inspired, chill out garden, setting the tone for friends to meet and socialize at the outdoor event. Those looking to cool off and join the action can dive into the water some wipeout worthy activities. Highlights include an extreme speed slide into the marina, inflatable wipeout obstacle course, gladiator style water jousting, people-sized inflatable rollers, and a large salt water swimming pool.
When guests are ready to hit refresh and turn it up, the open air chill out garden area features pop up bars and food stalls, surrounded by fresh tunes from a live DJ and festival spirited, beverage inspired, group games throughout the day. As the sun goes down, the area will twinkle under the marina skies and decorative fairy lights for perfect Instagram moments, great vibes and times shared with friends.
Revelers can continue the party until into the evening. Yas Marina’s eight licensed bars, lounges and restaurants are stumbling distance from the Wipeout party, offering a selection of happening nightlife and mouth-watering food. On Saturday 12th October, the second day of Wipeout Wknd welcomes a family friendly, relaxed affair. An array of activities for friends, parents and little ones will cause a splash, from 10am until 6pm.
